A HIGH ACADEMIC STANDARD

Active Learning

The transformative learning experiences at Ar-Raheem Academy are designed to help our students grow both in and out of the classroom. At Ar-Raheem Academy students receive their secular education virtually from fully accredited schools that deliver a transformative education and flexibility that meets rigorous state education standards adhering to the state public schools.

Most of the students at Ar-Raheem Academy are enrolled at Greenfield Commonwealth Virtual School (GCVS) that administer the flexibility of both live classroom-based lessons and asynchronous personalized classrooms. GCVS delivers a high-quality online curriculum that provides students with the best resources available aligning to Massachusetts state standards. In the live classroom-based lessons, classes are conducted using teleconferencing and collaborating tools whereas in the asynchronous personalized classrooms, students are equipped with all the learning materials to placate the educational requirements within a flexible time frame.

GCVS has a dedicated staff that in collaboration with Ar-Raheem Academy Learning coaches enable our students with a better online learning experience through innovative technology. Every teacher at GCVS is fully licensed and certified by the state standards to teach. While most of the students receive their secular education from GCVS, some of them are enrolled in Acellus Academy and TECCA Academy. They are also fully accredited with Acellus Academy meeting the education standards for private schools, and Tecca Academy meeting the standards for state public schools.

General Studies Overview

To impart quality secular education to our students, we made these arrangements:

  1. For students in grades K to 3, learning coaches will be helping students in their online classes. Each grade has a learning coach who will give individual attention to the students. State approved curriculum is used for these grades.

  2. For students in grades 4 to 12 we follow Online Education Program, that features:

  • Online lessons, interactive activities, and virtual classroom sessions in the Online School (OLS).

  • Independent activities not on the computer using K12-provided materials, including textbooks and workbooks.

  • Interaction with teachers and classmates online or by phone.

  • Guidance from their Learning Coach to ensure they are making progress during the day.

We have certified teachers on our staff to guide children that are enrolled in Online Homeschooling program.
